Originally a modest cottage, Pembroke Lodge has evolved over the centuries into the elegant Grade II listed Georgian mansion seen today.
Over its long history, it has been home to notable figures including Elizabeth, Countess of Pembroke, Lord John Russell and philosopher Bertrand Russell. It has also welcomed distinguished visitors such as Queen Victoria, Charles Dickens and Alfred Lord Tennyson.
Today, it remains one of the most recognisable and cherished buildings within Richmond Park.

The Hearsum Collection is a registered charity dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Richmond Park and the wider Royal Parks.
